4th of July tiered cake in Florence, Italy

It was such an honor to be commissioned to create the 4th of July Cake for the US Consulate in Florence, Italy, by Florence’s Consulate General, Sarah Craddock Morrison. I wanted to create a modern design that incorporated all of the elements of The American Independence Celebration. For the cake, we went with a clean, contemporary Fourth of July theme. The tiered cake was decorated with red stripes, blue sugar flowers in the shape of stars, and white drapery swag. Inside was vanilla cake with wild berry mousse.
